Hello good heroes!
Because of course it's already March. I confess, I did not appreciate the speed of time once one has children rather than child. It feels like it moves thrice as fast as before.
February was marked by ... well, finishing up the VLG. Spot art season.
I revisited the lucent amphibian from the Uranium Butterflies. It'll be nice to release that once VLG is done-done.

I colored and assembled into panels this triptych from UB depicting the ... uhh ... uplifting of Andy Paladyne.

This one's brand new. The wizard Noë discovers a ge-yao golem ... though this one has some suspicious looking new appendages.

One of the golem fighter Safir running into some radiation ghosts. Aerolith settlement in background.

Added custom art for some of the power albums ...

Decided to repurpose the page corner art and give it some more prominence.
Honestly, I think they work much better this way.

I ended up re-doing some old art entirely because it wasn't nice enough. So ... uh ... then I noticed that I'd been a bit lazy and just reused the 50 strange items from the UVG. So I redid those, too.

Some of these little scenes were quite fun to draw. Don't have a name for the enchanter with the automatic prayer prisms yet.

And another mini comic. For conflicts.

I actually fixed up the blade in the Pointyhelmet vs the Pentelabra piece, but then realized I'd used it in UVG 2E so I couldn't reuse it! Hah! Well ... that's where the safir and the radiation ghosts went instead.

This new piece was perfect to illustrate the little chase table that made a return from UVG 1E.

And one of the biggest new pieces to illustrate the 20 other paths for characters. This section in the VLG used to be part of the OGA, but it fits better with the rules and thus leaves more space for ... places and crazy things in the OGA. This piece is ballpoint and digital color. Also, for the keen-eyed, it may include a hint of Poncho's background.
Phew! That was a rundown, eh?
You've read this far? Much good! Ok, if you look at the attachments, there's a full size other paths illustration. It should fit on a couple of screens.
There's also the latest exported version of the VLG. This one is so nearly ready it hurts. But I've still got to review the pXX and build an index.
But what I really wanted to kind of chat about here (since it feels safe, since nobody reads below the line, right?) are my developing thoughts for what to do / write after OGA.
I've been applying the TSKNS style to an old project ...

and a new idea (placeholder - though suitable - art) ...

... and more and more I'm tempted to write a cycle of a few adventure modules that really take advantage of the "daemon player" idea mentioned in Eternal Return Key and embedded in the rule that it is players, not characters, who earn XP.
So, my idea is to use the adventures to travel an epic story, with players hopping through time and space, switching characters from module to module and taking along new traits / options based on their actions.
This might turn out really cool and work very well ... or it might completely crash and burn. But one thing I hope to look at is playing characters from different sides of celestial conflicts, from the lowest to the highest. Not quite an adventure path (since the adventures could be played in any sequence) but something like a romp through a multiversal cycle.
My ideas on this will likely change, but for now, it's something fun to noodle about as I buckle up and finish turning my OGA notes into final text.
So ... that's where we're at!
Uh. I think.
:D
So, hope that was enjoyable! Take care, good heroes!
