2022-09-01 17:57:09 +0000 UTCThose two facts are actually quite closely related. The host knows that he is merely a vessel, that he does not possess the true authority and power of the Keeper. He also knows that the people closest to him can sense when the Keeper is truly within him. In other words, he has accepted that he is little more than a container. When the Keeper leaves, he lets his consciousness slumber.

Though as a side note, I do wonder what happened to the current world host's identity. I remember there was that whole story arc about the host coming to terms with being the keeper's vessel, but now he apparently just sits on the throne in total silence and stillness whenever he's not being used
