Try to keep in mind that more domains does not necessarily mean more power, as was shown in the recent invasion. It wasn't the number of the enemy's domains that made them a threat, rather it was that they had a more advanced method of handling divine power. For the greater pantheon, they are being worshipped by almost everyone in one way or another, so the amount of divinity at their disposal is absurd. The only time it's really depleted is when they do massive feats such as the creation of Sanctum, or Ashley altering the game system that governed the world, or when Leowynn created the massive void guardian.
