You find the best "ethnic food" in Tokyo because Tokyo is the most racially diverse city in Japan, Shinjuku is something like 25% foreign born these days. These guys are taking demographics from like rural Japan and applying them to the biggest city in the country and drawing crazy conclusions from it.

2025-12-31 10:27:17 +0000 UTCI used to live in Tokyo and that doofus is right that you can get incredible food from around the world, but it's not being cooked by Japanese people most of the time lol. Go to an Indian restaurant in Tokyo and the chef is probably from Punjab, go to a Nepali place and the owner is from Kathmandu.
