The MSI review is done, the CPU comparison is on hold while I wait for MATLAB support to get back to me regarding a benchmarking license for Apple M2. They only have native Apple silicon support in a new pre-release version that requires a license - the normal free trial can't use it. If they can't get it to me by mid-week I'll just bail on MATLAB and finish the video.
Otherwise this week I'm working on the review of the Lenovo Legion Slim 5. It seems quite popular, so I bought it with my own money. I can see why people wanted to see it, it basically seems like the new Legion 5 from the last couple of years. But for some reason they added "Slim" into the product name (it's not Slim at all).
I didn't go ahead and buy the TUF A15 I mentioned last week, turns out ASUS in Taiwan might be able to lend it to us. Trying to get confirmation, as there's a sale running here until the end of the week. If they don't get back to me I'll probably just buy it too.
I'm hoping to get a 7945HX3D this week, but still waiting for confirmation. Ideally I want to get the 7945HX and 13980HX back so I can see how much difference the 3D makes with fresh benchmarks.
We've also started testing the Alienware x16 and Dell G16, which arrived last week, but those will be 2-4 weeks away.
