Friday Update: Some things you may have missed in Ep.13

Hey all! Did you like Ep.13? If you haven't watched it yet... what're you waiting for? Go, go, go!

I thought it would be fun to point out a few small details you may or may not have caught on first viewing; things you can tell your friends when watching it with them so you sound smart.

Picture #1: Zechs's Helmet
Some of you pointed out that in Ep.10, we skipped the infamous part where Zechs's mask breaks. And you were right! But we weren't skipping it. We were just saving it. So I edited his mask back into this shot to show that he does, in fact, still have it. He's just choosing not to wear it.

Picture#2: Visit the Moon!
As many of you know, I love Turn A. And this is the first episode where we get to go to the moon! So, on the second loop of Heero's "I'm gonna go kill 'em" trip when I reversed every shot, I decided to throw Dianna onto an ad because she's a queen. Or is that Kihel...?

Picture #3: Une's Petty Quote
This is a very quick shot because I didn't want it to distract from what's supposed to be a more emotional moment for Duo. But Lady Une is still sour about her fight with a Gundam back in Ep.6, and how she'd been "disarmed". I really wanted to hammer it home that Une is winning the fight now, and enjoying it.

Picture #4: Two-Mix in the House!
At the very end of the panning shot of Une's crowd, there are two characters that look like they're from a different art style. These are Minami Takayama and Shiina Nagano of Two-Mix, rendered from their animated music video for White Reflection. If you haven't seen it before, definitely give it a watch. It's fun.

Picture #5: Wufei Turned Pink
This image isn't actually from Ep.13. (Obviously.) But the throwaway joke at the end of Ep.10 was a deliberate call-forward to this episode, because I'd always found it so funny how Wufei just... turns pink when Une starts talking to him in that shot. It's also a handy coincidence that Wufei never wears the top half of his dao fu while in space, so saying he abandoned it on Earth because it turned pink in the wash was just the right amount of "that's so Wufei".
