1. How does that affect you?It doesn't really. Pay up front means that NEW patrons will have to give their first pledge immediately, this prevents dumb bots and otherwise anyone who doesn't intend on sticking around from pledging.

I think this is fine, and I agree with Tyler, too. Find a way to make it apparent that pledging earlier in the month is better to avoid frustrations.
