I have a strong belief that simpler is better, any unneeded complications ruin the art. But making something simple is not easy. I was not planning for background here, but turned out, without background the drawing looked.. wrong, I guess I don't have the skill yet to pull it off.
Making a colored sketch or flat colors without shading is actually a lot harder than it might seem.
