Never underestimate the value of traditional art education, where they teach you how to draw boxes, vases, how shadows work and all that. I am self taught and had to pick it all from the ground up. I learned a lot about perspective, how to draw a room and objects in it. For example, on a sketch I drew a table like this, from the side view, which led me to some interesting perspective issues. In my first draft for background she looked like a giant in a small dollhouse room x3
I'm still glad I tried, I love this drawing and I'm happy to learn new things
