Blogpost & poll about the last month of dev work
Added 2022-07-11 22:48:01 +0000 UTCHello supporters!
I have recently wrapped up the release for BetterStructures, alongside some other releases and we are now in the vote for the next phase as I work back through reported issues and generally add polish to the existing systems.
Work has already begun for the next build pack for BetterStructures - the Adventure pack - and EliteMobs has reached 100,000 downloads! I have some content set aside that I will be trying to polish up and release for free to celebrate this achievement.
Work on Primis is ongoing, it took a bit of a backseat as we focused on BetterStructures, but it is going to be the next focus of development of the premium content. There's a huge amount of content in the next Primis release which is a big part of why it's taking so long to make, among some other technical issues caused by Minecraft limitations with maps.
I want to take a minute here to reflect back on recent work. Last month I posted a long blog post about feeling unsatisfied with having set so many projects aside.
Since then, I have updated ResurrectionChest, BetterFood and created BetterStructures from scratch. In that time period EliteMobs also saw an update which massively simplified how the default EliteMobs resource pack can be installed, becoming something you can install in 1 click via the setup menu, as well as the wrap-up for the webapp.
I personally think that it was an extremely productive month of development, and even included a lot of building coordination with Bepis and Dalio, a new builder who is helping with BetterStructures.
Feedback thus far for this work has also been positive upon release, which I was very happy to see. BetterStructures is already sitting at nearly 150 downloads, despite only seeing the first public release very recently.
That being said, I fear that my perception of my own work might be biased, and for that reason I ask you that you vote on the poll regarding what you think of recent development work of all of my projects.
If you have the time, I would also love to read any comments you might have about it in the comments to this post.
It is thanks to your continued support that I am able to keep aiming for bigger and greater things, and to continuously provide you with the content I hope you are looking for. For that reason, I also want to make sure that the work I am doing is to your liking, which is why taking the time to gather feedback is so important!
That's it for now. There's a lot of things being worked on right now, and I hope you will really enjoy it.
Happy adventuring,
- MagmaGuy
