Eternal TD minigame! Snapshot 1

And now for something completely different! This is EternalTD, a tower defense Minecraft plugin minigame based on games such as the Line Tower Wars mod from the Starcraft / Warcraft custom games.

The game spawns mobs on the green line and the try to path to the end (red line).

You place Basic Towers down to do damage, and Support Towers (currently the Sugar Tower and the Spyglass tower) to enhance their stats (as long as they're on the next grid square!).

Mobs can't pass through grid blocks where towers have been placed, so creating a maze is a big part of the game!

This is currently a very early version of the plugin! It is almost as bare bones as it could possibly be, but is still fun to play around with.

Right now the setup for this is very manual. Please note that this requires its own dedicated Minecraft server! This will change later, but it is still a work in progress.

To play: Install the jar file in its own server. Launch the server and place the unzipped etd_tutorial world file in the worlds folder of the plugin in ~/plugins/EternalTD/worlds .

In-game, type /etd join tutorial_level.yml . Build as much as you want, and then do /etd start. The waves will start and will only stop once you quit or lose.

To leave the game, do /etd quit . This does not currently teleport you out.

This is more of a proof of concept right now than a full on Minigame, but I have only been working on it for about 3 days. I think that with some more work it might become a very popular game mode!

The current plugin already allows you to customize the waves, this is defined in the levels folder. You can even make your own levels and worlds!
