The Primis project curse

Alright so originally Primis was meant to release today.

As of Friday of last week, 69OzCanOfBepis - the person building Primis and basically the person who built nearly everything for EliteMobs - has been in an internet outage. He has still not recovered his internet connection (thanks Xfinity). This is exceptionally gutting as only two builds were left before the map was ready, and they are really important ones.

To make things worse, Bepis found a new job while he's still in training, meaning his schedule is beyond full, and he has really been pushing himself to build as much as he has for the map.

Before anything, I want to say that none of this is his fault, and on the contrary I am extremely appreciative of all the hard work he put into making Primis look as good as possible, and that his sacrifices have not gone unnoticed.

That being said, it's my responsibility to deliver the build I promised for this month. To this end, as I have been talking about on Discord, I hired 10 different builders on Fiverr and even recontacted Realm of Lotheridon - you may know them as the guys who built the basis for the Adventurer's Guild map as a gift to EliteMobs - to see who I can get to build for EliteMobs.

I asked everyone to build a Lair as a test build to see what each builder's strengths were. They can pick the theme, the bosses, the powers and build to their strengths, and name their own prices.

Of the 11 people contacted, 3 already started working. 1 already delivered, twice, and one of them is a minidungeon. 4, including Realm of Lotheridon, are currently too busy. The rest have not replied thus far.

There is one builder absolutely running laps around other builders in terms of speed, and he is coming right out of the gate with a pretty good understanding of what the requirements are for building for EliteMobs.

As such, I will be getting Matevagyok to help out with finishing the build side of things. If he is as fast in building Primis as he was with building the Scarlet Monastery Minidungeon and his Lair necromancer's castle submission then it should be done in one afternoon.

This also means a huge amount of Lairs are currently being made for EliteMobs. This is actually for a pretty fun little project: soon I will be starting a poll where you can vote for your favorite builds, and whoever wins will be hired to just keep making content for EliteMobs. You will be able to download and play on all of this content. Some will be released for free and some will be premium, as per usual.

I am also working on a fun little video showcasing the process of finding these builders on Fiverr and selecting them.

Curse or no curse, Primis will be released this month. I am sorry that things ended up dragging so much, and I hope that the wave of new content coming from the selection process will at least feel like a big compensation for that.
