The Marchioness Disaster
Added 2022-04-19 10:16:00 +0000 UTCThe Marchioness Disaster is one of many accidents that has since been made into a dramatized film. I looked everywhere to see if I could find a copy online, but couldn't. I did come across these clips, though. They're painful viewing in more ways than one.
The film was due to be released in 2007, but was never actually broadcast in the UK due to complaints from families of people who had survived the disaster. For some reason it was screened a few times in France.
If anyone happens to have a copy of the film, do let me know. I'm extremely curious to find out if it was at all accurate in its portrayal of this disaster!

I'll have a look. It's been a while since I used a torrent to download anything, but it might be the only way I can find this particular film.

2022-04-25 10:46:10 +0000 UTCIt's pretty shocking stuff. I think his reasoning was that he wanted to get clear of the bridges, where visibility was limited... but then he carried on until he was more than a mile away.
