Rewards are on the way!

Ooh ... I am so late with this job today!  I'm amazed that people haven't been bombarding me with emails ... "Where is the nenga print that I should have received by now?", or "Isn't it time for the Summer Chibi print to be sent out?"

It is indeed time!  And finally today I have cleared the decks and started to catch up. Here's the scene of the crime:

Many of you will of course recognize the location - it's the counter down in the shop, about the only desk space wide enough to organize this conveniently.

This is the stack that I will be getting into the post this afternoon - these are our 'nenga' prints for this year, the Hokusai design that was carved for us by young apprentice Taran-san.

I'm using a selection of different postage stamps for these. The batch in the photo are a sumo theme; below them are some Hiroshige ukiyo-e designs.

(Incidentally, we know from your emails that a lot of you have been disappointed recently to receive subscription prints with Post Office 'labels' instead of real stamps. This is a new policy of theirs that is completely out of our control. It's hard to believe, but they will not let us use stamps for those packages. All documentation - and payment of fees - must now be handled electronically ...  'Progress'  ...  :-(

This is coming next, and this part won't be a one-afternoon job; it is something I will have to share with a group of the staff members. These are the Patreon Chibies!  In that top-secret view, you can see that the Summer and Winter prints for 2021 have not been separated yet.

These prints will be posted in groups bit by bit over the coming weeks. Stand by, please! Also, that reminds me - if you are expecting one of these prints, and you have changed address anytime recently, please write and let us know! The Patreon system doesn't automatically let us know when people adjust their address.

Over at the edge of the table ... our shop Checkout Register has been sleeping for 18 months now, but it is doing double-duty ... as a music player. This is the BBC 'My Sounds' app ... today tuned to their 'Through the Night' program ...  I grew up with my Dad's 78s of the Rachmaninov 'Rhapsody' in the version by Philippe Entremont, and I still haven't heard anything to top it! :-)

Patreons, I thank you again so much for your support of our work!  I apologize again that these prints are a bit late in going out, but we do eventually always get to it!
