Added 2018-09-03 09:32:56 +0000 UTCI'm moving this ahead of schedule. The new update is out, please go to your Itch app, select Tailor Tales and on the bottom right, click "Check for updates".
This is the only way to get the update and keep your save file; you need to have installed the game through the Itch app. A standalone version on your desktop will not be able to receive updates!
If you never installed the game through the Itch app in the first place, you will lose your save file when attempting to get the updates this time. Sorry, but that´s why you must download and install the game through the Itch app to preserve your save file!
Load your manual save file. Your quick save will be corrupted. Navigate to your settings. Click on the Gift. You have to enter a password to unlock the new content.

Night mode and the ability to hide the text box is now available as well! Hit the lightbulb on top of the text box to turn it dark/light. Press the Shift key on your keyboard to hide the text box (press shift again to make it re-appear).

So when you click the Gift icon, the window to enter the password does not show up? Are you running 1.5.4? My guess is that you're playing 1.4, the public version of Tailor Tales. When you click on the Gift icon in that version, it only makes a sound effect and nothing else :) When you pledged to the Patreon you got a key to the Tailor Tales Early Access version. Use this key to download the correct Tailor Tales!
