Upgrading to a newer version
Added 2018-11-15 20:44:23 +0000 UTCTailor Tales is being created with RPG Maker MV. Currently, the version of RPG Maker MV that Tailor Tales was running on, was version 1.3. The newest version of RPG Maker MV is 1.6. Version 1.3 can be quite slow and it's missing a lot of improvements. But upgrading was a pain and it broke a lot of my code.
So for the past few months, we've been tweaking the code to get it to run on version 1.6, not to mention optimizing the game so that it doesn't hog all of your RAM or crash your PC when you don't have a lot of memory.
Upgrading to 1.6 will be the last thing I do (and maybe some visual tweaks) before Tailor Tales leaves its beta phase (don't worry, your save file will continue to work). It should load faster and take up less memory to play, so even those with not so great PCs/laptops can still play :)
Anyways, it's still being tested due to some issues. But that's probably all I'll be working on this month!
