Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug where you couldn't use the arrow keys anymore to select the Fierce/Kind choice
Game progress:
- Added Caine's chapters 19, 20 and 21
- Finished Caine's 5th CG
- Sketched Bill's character design
- Finished the laboratory background
- Added a new effect "action lines"
Here we go! Because Caine's latest chapters (19, 20 and 21) didn't require much new art aside from his 5th CG which took me way to long to make, I had some time to prepare James' route instead. I finished the first background for his route (the lab which is beneath the boutique, run by your brother, Ralph). I also finished up Bill's sketch:

A little background, Bill was one of the original love interests back in 2009. He used to look like this:
Which then turned into this:
And well, now he's been redesigned like above; way more mature and fitting for a fantasy setting! Bill is not a love interest, but hey, who knows in the future...
Caine was based on Bill's design when I rebooted Tailor Tales, hence the similar colour scheme. They're nothing alike in personality though.
I'm also in the process of finding a new VA for James, though in all likelihood, it may be his original VA who will reprise his role again! This VA was cast back in 2017, but due to the quality of his files, I replaced the VA with someone else in 2018. However, I wasn't quite satisfied with the new VA, so I opened up James' role once more and the old VA auditioned with a new mic as well!
Either way, I'm hyped to start crunching out actual sprites for James' route. Caine and Ralph have to go first since they appear in the 1st chapter. Caine needs an entirely new sprite because he's 3 years older in this route. Not to mention a superhero, hah.
Alright, back to Caine. Chapters 19 through 21 were relatively easy since it mostly takes place in the player's boutique. They're a bit of a downtime before things start going horribly wrong. Prepare yourself...!
I'm excited to reach Caine's endings. I'll be writing chapters 23 and 25 next month (24 is already finished). Thanks for sticking with me for so long!

Yep, Caine plays an important role in James' route! To give some background: he is the childhood friend of the MC and her brother (Ralph). His power is being able to create electricity and control it. The three of you are very close together. I may - or may not - have Caine harbor some feelings for the MC, this all depends on how the story unfolds :) Because the MC is aged up to 26 in this route, Caine is 24, 3 years older than his current route, hence why he'd need a new sprite. Neil and Angela will play a small part in the story as well! Basically, James' route is the one where you'll see the most characters. I'm excited to finally start focusing completely on this route after Caine is finished!

SInce this is a super hero universe im guesiing they have super powers so im wondering what powers he'd have and if the others like Demitri and Neil would make super hero cameos. I didn't think Caine would be in James route at all So now im excited about the possibilities ^_^

I'm really hoping to see a stargazing scene TT_TT Also YES JAMES, he's def my type (ok, well maybe a majority of the love interests are my type) and I dig the superhero universe so I can't wait to start playing him! But for now, more development with my favorite redhead <3

Ah I remember when I first found your game and I could only play Neill and I was so sad I couldn't play the others as well (then I found your patreon site and here I am). I'm so lucky I found such an active creator like you and you make such a great game.. Btw I dreamt of Caine and the MC, you know before the smut... Imagine how excited I am for the two new chaps xD (I'm a grown up woman and I act like a teen, oh well), Can't wait for your update this month :3

I'm still thinking the wet hair on Caine is my favorite but I could possibly be in love with it because I loved that water play between them so much. They were so cute and playful and that just made the hair cute as well. :)

Next month you'll be getting chapters 17 and 18. These are some really good chapters for Caine, it's worth the wait! In the update reports, I always list the work I've done for those two weeks, including finishing any chapters I've added to the game. These chapters still need to be tested and it usually takes at least two months before Patreons can actually start playing these. So if I say I finished chapters 19-20-21 this week, you will most likely get to play these chapters in July.
