Tailor Tales lets you choose between fierce and kind, but the main character herself still has her own traits (for example, she's never really shy). So I'm curious what your ideal kind of main character would be.

It's soooo true about otome games MC's - they are such a naive, shy, dormant, submissive ....in other words a total doormat ;PP There are so many possibilities of the shy or naive type - but she can't be stupid and lie there like a dead fish... I'm not talking about her being overly aggressive or sth (I'm not a fan of those) but there has to be some backbone and rational thinking :D

2020-07-20 11:41:01 +0000 UTCAnswered the the survey, though a number of the personality types didn't make sense to me, but that's normal - it's impossible to cover *everything*, not to mention it's an unreasonable expectation! I will say though, that while the otome game genre originates in Japan, I am *so* sick of the blank slate/naive doormat PC that's so prevalent in games from there. Naivete can be hilarious when done right, but if it's combined with the other two? Ugh. They've improved over the years gradually, but it's still too common, imo. Give me variety! That said, while Tailor Tales technically only offers two paths, I don't think I've ever really been disappointed with the MC at any point... wait, no, that's wrong; she still hasn't been able to punch James. I know it won't really *do* anything, I just want to punch that boy once. </3

2020-07-20 04:46:48 +0000 UTCI kind of wanted a comment section in the survey to say ‘any trait can be okay depending how you write them’. Are the unrepentant for the ‘bad’ characteristics for the whole story or do they try to be better?
