Coloured silhouettes
Added 2021-04-20 02:15:34 +0000 UTCSometimes the story would show a character on-screen that would have a few lines, but not enough to warrant an actual sprite.
The MC's mother and grandma did not get a sprite due to the sheer amount of effort that is needed to create those sprites and reflect all the player's custom colours. Ralph, the MC's brother, is the only one to get a sprite because he plays a major role in the story. The MC's mother and grandma briefly show up, and therefor, was not worth the effort to create a sprite for.
They were portrayed by black silhouettes. It looked kinda gnarly and out of place, but that's what I used.
I have now decided to replace all black silhouettes with coloured ones so they match the environment better and don't stand out too much. Since they're just simple silhouettes and I don't need to worry about expressions, I was able to quickly draw and code them into the game. They will reflect the player's custom colours.
I will go down the list and replace all black silhouettes!
The reason for this sudden change of mind is due to the fact Aiden's route starts out with two black silhouettes, and I didn't really like that.
