PF1 Support Cessation
Added 2022-12-14 19:11:09 +0000 UTCAfter 9 years, I must announce that we are dropping PF1 content going forward. It served us well as a launching point and helped us find our feet and become what we are today. But the system is fading and supporting such an immense backlog of content puts an increasing burden on creators.
All existing PF1 support will remain, including in any reprints of those books. The goal is not to erase, just choosing where and how to focus our ongoing efforts. Similarly, the setting isn't going anywhere. We love Ponyfinder to death and will eagerly continue expanding on it.
Just without PF1 specific rules. At this point, it will be D&D 5E(Maybe One later?) and PF2. It takes significant time and effort to support what is now a fading system, enjoyed or not. The metrics show PF2 far ahead, with 5E the ruling king of the playground.
I hope you'll stick with us as we press onwards, but thanks to you even those that do not. Without you, we couldn't have made it this far. Ponyfinder is a product of a passionate fanbase. Without you, we would have little, and nothing called Ponyfinder.
To Happier Announcement and Happy Holidays,
David

The last book with _new_ PF1 content should be the Bestiary, with its slew of new critters.
