Suena parecido a una historia que ví por pixiv pero podría ser una niña que se siente insegura cuando está jugando con los demás por su estatura pero encuentra un libro y cuando lo usa este desaparece empezado una serie de días en dónde le va robando la estatura a sus padres (en el original les roba la edad)

And how disappointed the mother is, how different in height and maturity they are and how she won't find anyone who will like her. But then a new boy joined their class and is treated the same way she dose. After she befriends him, she also finds out something about him that could change her life.
