August Movies
Added 2024-07-19 00:00:03 +0000 UTCWhich movies are you guys looking forward to in the month of August? I know it's typically a slower month, but there's still a couple that peak my interest.

I'm looking forward to 'It Ends With Us' mostly because I read the book during the hype that it was being received - and although the book has its cornball moments, I actually really enjoyed it. So, I'm looking forward to seeing that movie. Additionally, I look forward to seeing 'Cuckoo,' 'Alien,' and 'Blink Twice.'

2024-07-28 17:30:39 +0000 UTC"Thangalaan" is finally releasing on August 15. You might remember hearing about this last year. It wasn't my cup of tea until Vikram announced himself as the lead. The director's filmography has been very problematic for me, and they got the worst studio possible to produce this. However, Then Vikram made the decision to be part of this, that's why I'm way more interested. The teaser and first single looks fantastic. little bit of concern about the CGI. I know it's not going to be perfect.

2024-07-19 08:39:23 +0000 UTCVery curious about Trap (even though I can't even remember the last Shyamalan movie I liked). I'm into it for Josh hartnett. Cuckoo looks really interesting and I don't know what it's even about, which I love. Really like Hunter Schafer too. VERY curious about Skincare. Even if the movie doesn't wind up being that great, I have a feeling it will at least be entertaining on a visceral level. Debating on whether or not I even want to see Speak No Evil though. I didn't like the Danish version at all, and I'm almost certain the American version will neuter the more disturbing/bleak aspects, but it might be fun as a curiosity more than anything else. Like watching both versions of The Vanishing back to back

2024-07-19 03:06:38 +0000 UTCAugust 2, 2024 Trap - Probably my most anticipated. Looks like a fun idea, hopefully Shyamalan pulls it off. August 9, 2024 Speak No Evil - remake of a solid Danish horror film from 2022. Know little as possible before seeing it. Cuckoo - Looks interesting. The cast features Hunter Schafer, Dan Stevens, Jessica Henwick and Marton Csokas. August 16, 2024 Alien: Romulus - āa standalone installment in the Alien franchise, set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986).ā Iām down. August 23 The Crow - A remake of the 1994 cult classic. Iām apparently one of the few who liked the trailer. Definitely looks a new take on the source material. Bill Skarsgard, FKA Twigs, and Danny Huston star.
