"The Whale" Transport barge

Hello Sailors

For the "start" of the month I present to you the 7th vessel of the Mermaid lads company Spelljammer fleet, "The Whale" transport barge.

This huge ship is one of the foundations of the MLC's wealth and power, this 145 foot long beast is used throughout the organization's commercial empire to assert their economic dominance.

These cargo ships carry everything the MLC can produce through its many trading posts, Void Beast Oil, weapons, food, ores, drinking water, building materials, exotic beasts, you name it.

The Whales are the ultimate casus belli for the majority of the Void's peoples and factions, no one attacks a whale without being prepared to suffer the wrath of the Mermaid lads company.

This imposing vessel is composed of a very narrow main deck surrounded by large removable steel panels used to fill the ship's hold once docked. The whales are rarely armed to avoid any diplomatic conflict with their clients, but make no mistake, no whale sails in the Void without a solid escort. These ships serve primarily as giant cargo ships but can also be chartered to serve as mobile bases, supply centers, troop transports, or even heavily armed warships when other ships in the fleet miss the call of war.

Some large groups of adventurers even use these ships as a base of operations, but even if these large beasts are tempting for their space and carrying capacity, no one should forget that a poorly protected treasure is only a bounty waiting to be taken.
