Turn Pianos Into Harpsichords

There are lots of custom pianos/harpsichords out there that you might want to change to be harpsichords, so I wanted to type up a quick tutorial for those who might want to know how.

Tldr; Change the Tuning to simsten_hpsd:object_harpsichord and the tuning Id to 8065125781368722301 for all object definitions.

Step 1

If you don't already have it, you'll need to download Sims 4 Studio. If you want to edit a cc, open that package in S4S, or if you want to change a base game piano, open S4S and choose Override. For this tutorial, I will be changing the base game grand piano into a harpsichord.

Step 2

Once you have your package open, open the Warehouse tab.

Step 3

Find the Object Definitions. You will need to edit all of these (there is one for every swatch).

Step 4

Find where it says Tuning and Tuning id. Right now it's set to the grand piano tuning - we'll need to change these to the harpsichord tuning.

Step 5

Change the tuning to simsten_hpsd:object_harpsichord.

Change the tuning id to 8065125781368722301.

Repeat for every swatch. It should look like this:

Then you're all finished! Make sure to save and then test it in your game.

NOTE: You do need to have the harpsichord mod installed for this to work. If you haven't already downloaded it, you can get it here. I've attached my piano override here in case it's useful to anyone.
