Regency Update - v2.024 (Bugfixes, Legitimacy)

A huge, heartfelt thank you to every person who beta-tested to make this update possible - I am so grateful to everyone who reached out and helped.  The bugs that delayed the release from a few days ago have been resolved.  If you happen to stumble upon anything else that needs fixing, please feel free to reach out as I will continue to work on small bugfixes as needed.

Quality of Life Fixes

· You can now cheat fan autonomy.  Shift-click on any Sim and select “Enable Fan Autonomy” or “Disable Fan Autonomy” under the Regency Pie menu to choose which Sims will autonomously use fans.

· Fan animations when choosing the "Fan Self" interaction are about twice as long as the autonomous ones.

· Sims can now Fan themselves while sitting, too (these animations are still short ones).

Bug Fixes

· Estates should now properly pass down to the heirs when the Sim dies - this was a pretty big overhaul in how the scripting side of estates work.

· The game will automatically detect who the heir is when you purchase an estate, assuming your Sim has a spouse or children.  If your Sim doesn’t have a child or spouse on purchasing the estate, the heir will be set to none.  You can always change the heir from the Manage Estate menu found by clicking on the estate itself.

· The ball bug is fixed (again).

· Overmax careers no longer result in last exceptions.

· Sims will no longer come home halfway through their work day during a battle!

· Active Sims will now fill their need for activity on arriving at battle.

· It is now much easier to build your estate’s grandeur.  Purchasing land and especially improvements now rewards more grandeur, and the goals for grandeur are set much lower.  Daily grandeur increase has also doubled.

· Unlocks for land leases have been fixed - you should now be able to lease land for housing, farming, and lumber at the appropriate estate level.

· Simfilters for letters should be more flexible.

New Content

· Gentry and aristocracy traits are now available as club filters for those who have Get Together.

· Sims can now receive high society invitations to rabbithole events such as Pall-Mall, the opera, or horse races.  If your Sim is a member of the Gentry, check the mailbox for a chance to prompt an immediate social outing.

· Your sims can now gamble on the card table.  Once in a while, they may receive a popup asking if they would like to bet on their estate - and if they do, they could lose absolutely everything!

· The game will now assign children born out of wedlock an "Illegitimate" trait.  Illegitimate children will not inherit their parent's social class unless they have been accepted by that parent, and likewise they will not ever be first in line to inherit an estate automatically.  Illegitimate children get random mood buffs about their feelings.

· All Sims can ask who each others parents' are, and can find out who is legitimate and illegitimate.

· Instead of debutante/bachelor, Sims who are presented to society will be a "Member of the Ton".  This trait will not be deleted on marriage or aging up, and will tell Lady Whistledown to care what they do.  Lady Whistledown also cares about affairs.

· There is a new Tea Party event!

INSTALLATION NOTE:

This update represents a pretty major change in the scripting side of this mod.  In order for estates and inheritance to work properly, the first time you load your game with this new mod make sure you enter every household that has an estate object at least once and then save.
