DATFEST !
Added 2025-04-05 22:09:37 +0000 UTCHey friends! If you are around or near NYC on April 17+18, I would love to see you at DATFEST @ Chemistry Creative in Brooklyn (East Williamsburg -- near Grand St L stop).
Torin Blankensmith (@blankensmithing) and I have been organizing monthly NYC TouchDesigner meetups for the past 7 months and this month we have been planning something extra special. All supporters of mine get a discount as well - grab code that here.
π
April 17 (Thursday) is our classic monthly meetup -- tickets for that coming soon (10$ suggested donation).
π
April 18 (Friday) is the main event -- a full day of hands-on workshops, talks, interactive installations, and live AV performances across two immersive venues plus a special sneak preview of the new TD features from Greg Hermanovic (TouchDesigner co-founder). More details and full lineup for the full day event coming soon!
There are limited full day tickets with 2 different workshop rooms, as well as tickets for the night event only (presentations + installations + av performances).
In room 301, there will be more beginner focussed workshops from Pao Olea (@pao.olea), and Dom Scott (@domscott.art) + Torin Blankensmith (@blankensmithing) β 301 will turn into a showcase of this workshop at night, where you get to showcase your work on a three wall projection room.
Room 305 is more of intermediate/advanced workshops, including one taught by the legendary Simon Alexander-Adams (@polyhop) called Grid-Based Design, and Dan Molnar (@function.str) and I will be doing workshop on toolmaking in TD with lots of tips and tricks about developing and refining advanced techniques in TouchDesigner. More information on a 3rd workshop for 305 coming soon.

( Also ! The main things I'm focussing on this month are DATFEST + finalizing a big update across most of my ops + new video tutorials. I will be posting another update specifically on this in a few days π )

2025-04-15 07:51:59 +0000 UTCBeginner course will be a bit more hands on / open in terms of what you want to build and culminates in a showcase where you can load some work (even past project if you want) onto a big 3 wall projection surface. Also there will be a bit of flexibility to possibly pop into some of the intermediate stuff. intermediate / advanced will be more masterclass / techniques oriented.

2025-04-07 14:58:32 +0000 UTCDonβt know which I should attend leaning towards beginner. Been learning on and off for a year. Unclear if I could handle the intermediate.
