July Preview - Fanged Shadows Rise

Coming at you today with another juicy preview - July’s return to the Abhorrent Vampires! Hot on the heels of last week’s peek at Dark Forest Part 2, we’re pleased to share the gorgeous concept art for this noble court of devious predators.

The Abhorrents Part Two

Since meeting the ‘young’ upstart, Lord Nachzehrer in 2023, we’ve been excited to explore another side of Doadens vampires - noble & sanguine bloodlines that have ruled from the shadows for aeons. Their shrivelled hearts and dark desire to feast upon their mortal chattel is barely kept in check by the mighty Oldbloods, ancient predators with a near reptilian patience.

From his dark lair in the Eastern Diocese, Alberix has mastered the games of intrigue and underhandedness that plague the Abhorrent Courts. He has been a leading voice of opposition to the upstart Lord Nachzehrer, arguing that Nachzehrer’s strange alchemies would forever stain their precious gift. Alberix maintains that they need only hold out and await the dissipation of the Cataclysm’s corrupting energies.

Not all of the blood share such noble and lordly virtues, and the Ravagers are here to offer some martial brutality to the roster. With cruelly barbed plate armour and brutish bearded axes, they’ll serve as powerful anchors to a horde of maddened thralls.

The brides of Alberix, warrior-maidens blessed with the might of the Blood form an immortal trio absolutely devoted to their beloved Sire. You’ll be able to assemble these gals on a single scenic base, fighting as a terrifying single entity, or as individual foes on smaller bases.

The Crimson Order is a force unto itself, not commanded by the nobility or even the most ancient and powerful Oldbloods. They are sworn to serve the Blood itself, protecting the blessed and, through calculated acts of violence, pruning those whose deeds threaten their precious curse.
