Important Changes to Our Monthly STL Subscription

Hey Gang,

We want to share an important change coming to the Bestiarum Subscription.

Over the past five years, we've built something incredible together with this amazing community, and we’re deeply grateful for that.

Now, we’ve reached a moment where, to protect what we’ve built and evolve it into something even better, we need to make a few changes.

What’s Changing?

Starting in August, we’ll be moving to 1 themed collection instead of 2 per month.

We’re making this change to ensure the long-term sustainability of the studio and give our team the space to deliver tighter themes, bigger ideas, and the kind of weird, wild, and mind-blowing content that you love us for.

This change means a few things:

• Fewer total models each month, with a stronger focus on a single, cohesive theme

• The Faction Pack will be included in the $10 Tier

  • More details on the future of the $14 Tier later.

• New Epic Projects on the horizon - Terrain, Game Systems & more!

• The Bestiarum Crew stays healthy, sane, and passionately twisted for years to come.

We hope you’ll read on to learn more about why we’re doing this, and what’s coming next. 

Why We’re Changing the Subscription

After five years of constant development, we’ve reached a critical point, a moment to step back and reshape how we work, so we can keep doing what we love at the highest level.

Right now, the subscription takes up almost 100% of our creative and production capacity. It’s left us in a cycle of rushing to deliver the next drop, leading to burnout and leaving little room to reflect, experiment, or support the 2,000+ model archive we’ve already built.

We believe that offering a more focused selection of models each month will give our community more space to truly engage with each release, to enjoy printing them, painting them, and perhaps even find the time to play with them!

The current environment isn’t just tough on us as creators, it goes against what we believe makes Bestiarum special. Each of our models are built with the deepest care and intention. They deserve room to breathe, to shine, to spark the imagination, and not be swallowed up by a void of our own making.

The only way to fix this is to slow down.

What Comes Next?

You’ll still receive Bestiarum-quality dark fantasy miniatures every month, and that commitment remains at the core of what we do.

But this change also unlocks space for something more. With a lighter monthly release cycle, we will have the breathing room to push into long-requested territory. Here’s a peek at what’s coming, beyond the monthly minis:

September: Our first FDM Terrain Campaign Launch - Ruins of the Sekhati
September/October: Website Subscription Launch & Patreon Migration
Autumn: Crimson Grove Campaign - Brand new minis, terrain, and narrative arc
Winter: First previews of our Game System begin to emerge

Plus:

• More community content, painting guides and behind-the-scenes previews.

• Deeper Worldbuilding and setting development.

• Robust Quality Assurance, with legacy fixes delivered to owners.

• New Projects & Experiments

As we expand into these areas, your loyalty will remain central in our minds. You are the lifeblood of Bestiarum, and we will do all that we can to reward your ongoing support.

Future of the $14 Tier

As of August, the Faction Book will be included in the $10 Tier.

We’re making this change because, statblocks aside, the worldbuilding and lore behind each release isn’t just bonus content. It’s core to what we are trying to build with Bestiarum. 

So what does that mean for the $14 Tier?

We’re reimagining it as a space for those who want to support Bestiarum’s future even more directly, and be closer to the creative process. Over the last year of churn, we’ve become a little closed off, and we want to share more of the studio with you all.

We’re still developing the details, but ideas include:

• Livestream Q&As and behind-the-scenes chats

• Early previews & more visibility of the production pipeline.

From August, the $14 Tier won’t offer additional rewards beyond the $10 Tier, and we completely understand if some of you choose to migrate down in August. But if you decide to stick around and ride with us, know that your support means the world, and will help shape what this tier becomes.

A Word from the Heart

This decision hasn’t been easy. Ultimately, no one likes to receive less than they did before, and we know you, our subscribers, are the reason we’ve made it this far already. Even knowing all this, we believe in our hearts that this is the right path forward.

Your support has helped us grow from one passionate sculptor with a bold creative vision, into a thriving studio that became a home for like-minded creatives. 

Now, let’s shape the future together, one filled with even more twisted beauty, deeper stories, and ambitious new projects.
