With all the changes coming to the Subscription, it’s time for a new type of preview for you all - ‘News from the Forge’ aims to offer a further look behind the curtain, showing off more of what’s going on at Bestiarum HQ. Here's what's inside:

This August, we’re making a long awaited return to Balazar’s court, far across the shimmering sands of Akhaemia. This release is going to be a monster, alongside the new miniatures comes a big refresh and review of the whole Court of Balazar/Exaltators/Agony and Temptation faction vision.

The Cabal of Langour

Here’s a peek at two of the sultry characters coming in August - important figures to round out the roster of Balazar’s Dominion, they’ll be joined by dancing Cabalites, a Weaver of binding, and an array of gruesomely maimed supplicants.

Firstly, we’ve got The Exalted Talons, these mighty warriors are brutal fighters amongst the Exalted Host, ready to stand toe-to-toe with even the mighty Bulwarks of the Penitent Crusade. Embodying the avian aspect shared with General Atraxes, these three poses are going to be filled with energy and movement.

Secondly, we’re pleased to introduce The First Concubine, and you’ll see why she bears this grand title in the accompanying Faction Book when it drops in August.

Reviving the Court of Balazar

Alongside the new miniatures coming, we’re putting a bunch of work into breathing new life into the Court of Balazar - finally integrating the classic Exaltators, and Agony and Temptation Collections into the world of Doaden - released way back in 2020/21, these sets have long been a mystery to most, and it’s time for them to step back into the light!

All these miniatures will be appearing in the accompanying Faction Book - over 35 unique entries to come!

As part of the update, we’re remastering the classic Demonettes. The original miniatures were too fragile and overdetailed for our liking, so Alexei has been putting the work in to refresh them. The brand new set will be bumped to 10 miniatures - and will be included in the August Subscription!

Additionally, we’ll be making some general improvements to the Court of Balazar Collection - reworking miniatures’ scales, and improving the Exalted Spears, making them more durable and suitable for tabletop play - stay tuned for updates here!
