I guess that this Normandy series is catching a new audience and I've had several interesting people reach out. One was the son of Shifty Powers, who sent an email with some very nice things to say. Had another nice message from John Orloff, who wrote a few episodes of Band of Brothers. I also had somebody send me a message saying that they know Kelly Clarkson's mom and she'd told her that she and Kelly had watched some episodes together (Andersonville, in particular), which is pretty cool I suppose. Didn't know that Kelly Clarkson was into history. Or maybe somebody was just making crap up.
What I wanted to tell you all is that I've had a few podcasts reach out with an invitation to come on. One is a podcast from a company called Wondros. I talked with them a bit today. They're creative agency out in L.A. (Los Angeles......not Lower Alabama) and started doing a podcast where they talk to all kinds of different people. I also got an invitation from a new one that just started called "We Happy Few 506". It's run by Matthew Leitch, who played Floyd Talbert in Band of Brothers. So that's pretty cool too.
I'll keep you all updated as to when these come out. Hopefully, it'll be an opportunity to get some more people interested in history. Should be interesting!
