I was pretty surprised to see that there were a few of you who might be interested in just the writing and stuff in general, so I decided I’d post this one over here for now.
There is another story coming at some point (I can’t say when), but here we go.
This is my first short story!
Description:
When Taka wakes up one morning, he can’t understand why his wife Rin is upset. She won’t answer him. Rather, she can’t. This short story follows Taka, Rin, and a black cat. What ties them together?

I really wanted to see what it would be like to write an 'atmosphere' that could be easy to feel, and glad you thought so on the foreshadowing too! I just didn't want to give too much away hahaha. Also damn! I didn't know that Lorikeets weren't all around the world? They're LOUD man like really beautiful to look at but good lord they can be so obnoxious hahaha. Side eye the animals always! Who knows what they're up to...🤨

You fit in a suprising amount of foreshadowing for a short story lmao. Also, a nice little misdirect with the pneumonia 👍 I did have to google what a Lorikeet was though cause that confused me. I thought it was a pets name or something so I thought I skipped a paragraph and missed important info hahahaha I will be side-eyeing my cats every time they yell at me now though
