For My Korean Learners! π£οΈπ°π·
Added 2025-04-15 21:57:01 +0000 UTCHey guys, this is just a little poll to gather some info real quick!
β οΈ Please only fill out the poll if you're interested in the Korean language learning content that I'd mentioned over here before! If this is the first you're hearing of it and you're interested though, please keep reading! β οΈ
So I'm thinking about revisiting the idea of trying out some Korean language content in the near future, and I wanted to get an idea of how much you know about νκΈ han-geul (the Korean alphabet).
I know that a lot of people are pretty confident with the idea of the alphabet and maybe some even think: "psh! alphabet?! eeeeeaaaasssyyyyy" but I feel like a lot of people get stuck in 'easier' places and never speak up or have questions about why things are the way they are or how to understand something better. The only reason I know that is because when I started, your mans right here was exactly that person! Bahahaha. The whole class nodded along and understood something but I didn't, and I also didn't want to disrupt the flow of the lesson so I thought: "I'll just revise it later". Suffice to say that it made starting Korean really unnecessarily difficult for me hahaha
So I have 2 requests!
1. Please fill out the poll down below as honestly as you can on what you think your knowledge of Hangeul is and how confident you are with it. It'll be anonymous, meaning that I won't look at who answered what (which, is a pain in the ass anyway...cheers Patreon haha) and I'll use the responses as a measure of how deep I should go!
For example, if anyone doesn't know what λ°μΉ¨ is but they're like "ya, I can read the letters though", the chances are you still need to know a bit more about Hangeul. The deeper you go with the Korean learning process, the more frequently things will confuse you if the basics aren't introduced well enough <-- that's my philosophy, anyway.
2. I'd also love to know if anyone has any comments on the alphabet or anything in general that that they'd like me to answer in a video. Please write them in the comments below if so! I don't claim to be a language expert, but I've been speaking this language for almost 8 years so I think I know my way around a few things π€£
Anyway, that's it from me, and we'll see if we get to this if and when I can find the time!
Big love to ya, and thanks for your input!

I know I don't have a plan of being fluent in korean but, for me I want to learn more words in korean and how to properly say certain words. I can't think of any examples of korean ones but the only ones I do is names in Chinese which does not matter in this. If you do a japanese one of these in the future it's the same for me. I only know very basic words in both. Probably more japanese than korean. I'm looking forward to whatever you do.
