YESSSS MY MANNNNNN. You get it ♥️ And absolutely. This shit still going on in 2025 is terrifying indeed.

Absolutely Victoria! Thanks so much for this comment, I love seeing what you have to say because you have deep insights as well!

Left-hander here! Also, speak truths, bro. Not teaching/hiding history is tantamount to destroying it, since it IS lost from the collective human mind. It has happened for generations. It is currently happening in parts of the country in which i reside. In 2025. Sad and a bit terrifying.

Something interesting to note is that this episode plays heavily on the concept of perception/obfuscation. Obviously with Iroh and the White Lotus. Aang's emotions and reactions are skewed out of anger/fear, Sokka and Momo hallucinating from the cactus juice and Toph's vision from the sand. Katara is the only one with a clear head/sight--water in a desert. Once again shows how much they all need each other as a team, everyone plays a role, since Sokka and Toph were vital to The Library. I love that Aang is a flawed main character and I love hearing your thoughts on him/all of them! Hes one of my favorite heroes in media BECAUSE hes not perfect, because I grew up with him and I feel different parts of his story more deeply now (the aspects of him around grief and childhood innocence hit so much harder as an adult). Seeing the pacifist kill needlessly or misdirect his grief makes him a flawed human being. And the story calls it out too, its not played off as an okay reaction at all, which is the difference between a well written flawed character and a Mary Sue.
