2025-08-17 03:10:49 +0000 UTCMy overall favorit Akatsuki member is Itachi, I dont think I have to explain why, we all love him. Besides him and Pain/Nagato, I would probably choose Tobi idk. I just love how serious he is, his deep voice and how he always, goes all out in his fights and he has no ulterior motives at all. All jokes aside, this time frfr. Honestly it reall tough for me to choose, I love Konan for who she is but she didnt get much screen time. I also love Deidara, I like how cocky he is and how he just doesnt give a fuck. He acts like the little punk in the Akatsuki and thats really refreshing and adds to them really well. Also his ablities are pretty cool and unique. Then there is Sasori who also has sick abilities and a pretty sad backstory. He matches Deidara really well cause he is also cocky but in a very different way, he is very serious and stoic. Lastly there is Hidan for me. I LOVE HIDAN even tho we barely learn anything about him. I wish we could have gotten more about him, his religion and his god. He is such a crazy lunatic and his way of fighting is probably the most unique out off everyone in this show. When I think of Hidan I just think about how disapointed I am, about his wasted potential for more cool lore. In the end I cant really coose anyone, everyone brings something completly different to the table and thats why I love the akatsuki so much more then all the other villian organizations in Anime. But If you held a gun to my head and I had to name one I would go with Hidan, he just pops up first in my head. I think its also because I just LOVE that arc so much, the whole thing with Asuma and Shikamarus revenge was just so fucking good man.

But this is also really just a big fucking cycle of manipulation. We thought the akatsuki were the big baddies and it's leader pain (at least we thought at that time) HAS to be the big villain right? Turns out he was just a pawn being manipulated by Obito. So Obito HAS to be the big bad villain right? Turns out he was just a pawn being manipulated by Madara. So HE HAS to be the ultimate villain, SURELY? Well... turns out Madara was just a pawn being manipulated by black zetsu... who's entire purpose is to bring back.... his mom. 💀 Gotta say that's absolutely wild if you think about it. It's not, that there always was just a stronger villain after we were done with the last one. The strongest villain that we knew was just a marionette for a greater purpose who was just a marionette for an even greater purpose and so on.
