I finished this well over a month ago, but wanted to have the second part of it done, and the next chapter with Jen and her friends, before releasing it. However, things have not been working out for me. My "Honey" Unity project with everything in it just NEVER STOPS crashing, so idk what to do. Been at my wit's end trying to solve a million problems with it, and I just want to quit this project altogether. It's just been falling apart since the last time I posted (over a month ago), and honestly has brought me to a really low place due to the frustrations.
Checking youtube analytics, I see that 85% of people for any of these "Honey" videos don't watch past the first 30 seconds, and practically no one watches the whole video. What's the point of making these longform chapters if no one watches them? Am I killing myself for nothing?
There's still the second part of this chapter, then some REALLY complicated scenes with Jen and her friends and tons of boys coming over, and honestly the thought of continuing to attempt to do them with this Unity project is putting me into a panic attack when I think about what a nightmare these past 2 months have been, trying to make something that's obviously worlds beyond my present capacities. What do I do? I'm so lost here.
The only place I ever get comments on these Honey videos is youtube, but none here, so Idk if anyone here even likes them except the 2 patrons who said so. You guys are obviously who I'm doing this for, since you're supporting me. But it's really impossible to know what people want when I never get any feedback here.
Should I move to doing shorts like everyone else? Only 1 in a 1000 has the attention span these days to watch a 10 minute clip anyway. And I know this stuff is probably not interesting enough to hold one's attention that long, even if they did have the attention span.
If I started doing quick little shorts, it would mean a lot more content and lot more diverse. This longform shit is killing me, and no one's even asked for it, lol. And the file sizes are obscenely large.

I made a simple pose world over the past couple days and just uploaded it - it's in the new portal hub (posted today). VRchat really does offer an explore-ability that the VR videos and such don't, even if it is just climbing on still models. But I'm gonna start getting back into making worlds with animations, as long as I keep it simple and not try to overwhelm myself with details. Thank you again, your comment was the nudge I needed.

I can speak for myself when I saw that there was a creator releasing content on the vr platform (oculus) you got my sub because there's a community begging for more vr experiences where "you" feel like you're there. That's why I love the world's you made it is the only place I can actually feel the experience of being shrunk. I think that's your strong suit, I know you said vr worlds are stressful but make them simple more "still" models that we can just explore on and walk through please! :)

I mean, I get it. But shrinking was kind of the whole theme of this one, hence the title and the line "Honey, the shrinking has to stop"
