I discovered your channel with youtube but damn how happy I am that your whatching stargate! It's my favourite tv show. I became a scientist thanks to Sam Carter! She was my hero while growing up. Don't know if anyone answered this for you but the first 5 seasons were made for Showtime which was premium cable, like HBO, so nudity was a thing. Also I nearly choked when you guessed 2005 for this show, lmao, 1997 is when it came out.

2021-07-23 16:01:30 +0000 UTCThis show takes place shortly after the movie. I don't know exactly how long after, months maybe, but not long. Most, if not all of it tracks with the cannon from the film, I believe, though it's been a long time since I saw the film. The whole thing with Scara is based off the film though. Yes, please react to the film! In my opinion, the film on it's own was not that great, but, when watching it as if it's a prequel to the show, knowing that you have the whole show to follow it, makes it so much better, and totally worth watching. That said, if for some reason you couldn't watch the film again, I believe everything you need to know is explained in the show eventually, so you don't miss anything by not seeing it. I think it just enhances the show if you see the film and remember it well when watching the show.
