Once again, I'm commenting on a series you reacted to over a year ago, lol. But in this episode, with Spike and Buffy teaming up, you were speculating about Spike's future. Looking ahead on Patreon, it appears that you stopped watching this series at season 4, episode 1, which means you will not have seen the entire Spike story arc. IMO, it's on the most interesting, twisted, and amazing personal story arcs in the entire series. Once James Marsters joined the cast in season 4 as a main star, he stayed until the very last episode of season 7, the final season. I really hope you decide to return to this series, and maybe even follow with the Angel spinoff series (though be warned that one is much darker than Buffy). The Buffy series is why I joined your Patreon. :)

2021-10-26 06:00:53 +0000 UTCThis is still one of the best season finales ever. So much happened and with big consequences. I’m never sure if I should be mad at Xander for not telling Buffy that Willow was still going forward with trying to resoul Angelus. It seems selfish on his part because he is jealous of Angel and can’t separate the two sides and wants him dead but on the other hand if Buffy was told that part of the plan would she have been distracted and got herself hurt. The end of her having to sacrifice Angel is heart breaking, it shows that she still loves him completely but it doesn’t stop her from doing what needs to be done. I love the Buffy Spike team up. It’s the best thing in the show so far, just hilarious. Last but not least I guess I can understand Joyce having a difficult time accepting her daughter is a slayer, and as other people mentioned the correlation to homosexuality is there. I guess I just hate it when people make ultimatums. Her mom makes this horrible stance as if Buffy is going to a party with alcohol instead of saving the whole human race and then is very clearly heartbroken when her daughter leaves like she told her to. Oh and hate Buffys big jeans. I was around the same age Buffy should have been when the show aired and I don’t remember these jeans being a thing back then, if you’re trying to be inconspicuous that’s a fail.
