I'm glad you notice that the town has to keep making up stories to explain these supernatural phenomenon. The music in this show is amazingly good. The band you asked about is Far and the song was "Job's Eyes". The soundtrack is fantastic. It amuses me when reactors mentions the 90s fashions. It solidifies to me that I'm officially old now because, to me, this is just normal fashion -- it doesn't look dated at all to me. It's exactly like the outfits I wore in high school! I had just graduated high school when the show aired.
