Maybe check out Surf's Up (2007). Its another story with an unconventional father/son dynamic. Its also probably one of the first animated movies to use the mockumentary format, which is a really fun aspect of the movie. It has a sort of natural flow, improvisational quality to it (and great water graphics btw!) And honestly, its one of the only Sony animated movies that are actually good. 😅
