This is one of Disney's finest!!! It's been majorly satisfying for me watching your reactions and seeing your ability to predict what comes next. I love your facial expressions and that you don't shy away from little things -- but that your emotions are still genuine, not overblown or done merely for clicks.

Do An American Tale and The Secret of Nimh go with Fivel Goes West?? They're a few I had to edit out just for lack of familiarity.
Edit: Oh!! *Fievel Goes West IS An American Tale

Finger-wagging? *tsk tsk* Lmao. They're feel-good movies about gaming I think he'd get a kick out of because the animation styles are not typical, and he is a gamer. You must not be. Let's just be happy I didn't add Surf Ninjas - also a gamer movie, but way more hokey! ;-)

I am so glad you liked Maximus, he is one of my favorite characters. I am a child of the 80's, 2 of my favorite animated movies are An American Tail and The Secret of Nimh, which i mentioned in the reaction to the Stargate episode Urgo because Dom Deluise plays side characters in those movies. Aladdin and The Emperor's New Groove are also really good. I love your reactions, your empathy always shines. This particular reaction is helping me get through a migraine, so thank you!

Oh, I forgot to mention something. I was trying to think what other Disney Princess movies you should check out next. I think you'd really like Mulan, and Hercules. Both have plenty of action, and stronger more active heroines than some of the older Disney classic princess movies. Oh, and yes, there is some debate as to whether Mulan is technically a Disney princess, but I can't get into that until after you watch it because of spoilers. I'll leave a comment about it on your reaction when you watch the movie.

Wow, JV, this was a fantastic reaction. You made me so happy.
My recommendations for animated movies you should watch:
Shrek
Shrek 2 (I don't care for Shrek 3 and 4 much)
The Croods (the sequel is okay but not as good as the first one)
All three movies are super funny and would have lots of things you'd love.

Classics for Shrek. These early animations are short enough that you could probably post them as one consolidated review on YT. Shrek is a huge fairy tale parody, but not just Disney.
1937 - Snow White
1959 - Sleeping Beauty
1950 - Cinderella
2001 - Shrek
This list will get you through the rest of the major classics before Shrek 2. (There are other classics included in later lists for other reasons, but this covers a large collection up to Disney’s “Golden Age”.)
1951 - Alice in Wonderland
1953 - Peter Pan
1963 - Sword in the Stone
1973 - Robin Hood
1940 - Pinocchio
1941 - Dumbo
1942 - Bambi

2018 - Ralph Breaks the Internet

These are within your current themes, seasonally and animation-style

2009 - 9 (Burton)
2009 - Princess and the Frog
2009 - Fantastic Mr Fox (stop motion)

So, JV, I did some work - I came here to push Shrek for your next franchise, then heard you say you weren’t familiar with many of the original princesses. I crafted some lists for you reviewing “all the animations” to give a little structure in attempting to react to 80 years of cinema. That’s a lot!! Obviously this is not intended to be comprehensive and all-inclusive – I hope people are easy on me if I overlooked a favorite, and can find some appropriate place to add in the most important that I may have missed. I tried to organize them by age, phase, or other theme that made some sense, and will create multiple posts to get the best feedback for these from your community. I tried to include movies I’ve heard you mention as well as others I’ve seen mentioned here. There’s quite a few I haven’t seen myself and also a handful that aren’t just animation. Tackle them how you best see fit. I did my best – I hope it’s useful!
