I really don't like this movie due to the massive, massive continuity issues, the frequent out of character things and moments, the fact that they seem to have dumbed down the humor massively to where there are way more visual gags/lol random humor and less truly emotional moments, and most importantly, the character redesigns made everything feel less unique. Everything looks too clean now, too bright, too forced to be cute. The most obvious one I can point out is Douglas. Look at his original design, and this movies design for him. They made him purple and fuzzy to up the cute factor. My main problem with them redesigning characters is that it is never addressed, everything just looks massively different with no explanation, and it feels really, really weird. BUT!! I am glad you enjoyed it anyways! If I distance this movie from the first one, I can enjoy it on it's own for it's own humor and stuff. So I'll say that I don't hate the movie, I just can't really see it as much of a canon continuation of the first one. Hope you're having a good day! (also, the more times I watch the movie, the more I don't actually dislike it as much)
