Love the reaction. This is my favourite Shrek film as well. I was always a caretaker of younger kids growing up, then 18 to 20 I became the one making doctor's appointments and going to parent teacher meetings for some of my younger siblings. As a result I wasn't sold on having kids as I've played the mom role too long and finally felt like I had a life that I was only responsible for myself. My partner really does want to be a dad so we've done a lot of talking and learning and growing about how to get to a place where we feel ready for that together. I no longer am opposed to becoming a parent, but films like this are really necessary to me to see that brief mourning the independence feeling, and see that there's a lot to the new life with family. Parenting is daunting and I'm glad there are fun films like this that show that concept clearly while also celebrating the familial ties that can daunt. My recommendation movie would be Meet the Robinsons, a really good found family and innovation film. Looking forward to all your content ππ½

2022-04-14 19:00:49 +0000 UTCI feel like this movie is often overlooked because fans were disappointed by Shrek 3 and after that, many fans felt like the franchise had overstayed its welcome. but I think Shrek 4 was a very good movie and left us on a very high note. Over the Hedge and Meet The Robinsons are a couple of good movies I'd like to suggest
