2023-06-02 08:46:11 +0000 UTCI love this movie! The ending for Kathrine and Sam is waaayyy darker in the book. The end where she takes the lizard to her wrist is actually the 'light' version of the ending. In the book, she gets tortured to death by Trout Walker for the information about the treasure. For like hours. This movie meant a lot to me. I must have watched it 5 times because of the Sam/Kathrine arch especially. Coming from SA where our history is steeped in racism it's just beautiful to see them happy together. Even if it was for a short time. 2005 King Kong has some serious dino action and its another very moving story. Bet you 10 bucks you cry. :) I certainly did.
