2023-12-14 04:28:42 +0000 UTCOf the motion-capture films that were coming out around this time, this was probably the best looking of the bunch. It's still not stellar - the facial animations are pretty stiff a lot of the time and definitely veer into uncanny valley territory. Though the backgrounds, snow, and overall environments however still look beautiful. It's just a nice, simple, heartwarming story about a kid growing up around Christmas. And I think that's neat.
