2024-05-24 00:04:10 +0000 UTCThis movie is loosely based off a ride at the Disney Parks called the Haunted Mansion. The ride is fan favorite and has a lot of lore. One of the biggest complaints with this movie was that it’s not faithful enough to the original ride. The story is not even remotely close to the lore of the ride. They tried to rectify this problem in the 2023 Haunted Mansion movie (which you should totally put on your next poll). I love both the 2003 version and the 2023 version. But I do find myself rewatching the 2023 version more because I’m a big fan of the ride and it’s more faithful to the ride.
