I remember watching these movies with you and Jane years ago - they were one of my favourite reactions by you guys! I am very excited for your first rewatch of this series and it being solo you might see things differently !

I believe in the book, Hagrid's stature was described as as tall as two men (so 10 feet or so i guess) and as wide as four men so he had a considerable girth to him too
Eta: i had a cinema prop of the mirror of erised, after the first movie once upon a time. I really wonder what my reflection would show these days..

I also recommend you read the books before watching the other movies if you can/have time or want to. This way you can see it from a perspective from someone who's read the books as well. I never read and read the books fairly quickly not wanting to put it down as it held my interest from chapter to chapter. It's also written in a way that it's an easy read.

I looked up on Google for the reasoning between the movie title differences in the UK and English: The primary difference between "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (UK title) and "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (US title) is the name of the legendary object at the heart of the story, which is a linguistic adaptation for the US market.
Reason for Change: Scholastic, the American publisher, felt that "philosopher" sounded too archaic for a young audience and preferred "sorcerer" as a more accessible term.

Fun fact about hogwarts to a muggle it looks like a castle ruin and if a muggle gets close to it and protection charm makes them think they have an emergency somewhere else. Also the bar they went to looks like a abandoned building

As far as what they do after school it’s basically what regular humans do, they get magical jobs. Like Ron’s dad works for the ministry to find dark and cursed objects

Just finished your reaction!
I've forgotten a lot about the books, but in any case in the films the relationship between the wizarding and muggle worlds is not developed. But there is a scene in one of the books (I won't say why right away) where the Ministry of Magic goes to meet the new British Prime Minister. So it's conceivable that the main authorities in the two worlds are working together but that the Muggle population, with the exception of mixed families, remains in the dark.

And I'm thinking that, having re-watched the saga, you could make a reaction to the Harry Potter reunion that came out in 2022?

I've just started and in the version you're watching, there are scenes I've never seen before! Like the one where Dudley tries on new clothes or the one with the eggs and the letters. Even the first fight between Snape and Harry!!!! I'm so frustrated that this particular scene was cut from the version I've always known as it introduces the hatred Snape has had against Potter from the beginning very well.
Anyway, I assume you've found an uncut version. Please continue the saga beside films from the polls.
