That's true. She does what she deems nessesary. And panel 3 is about that: sadness and longing. Thistle...well - you will see soon. There's suprise, calm...and disappointment.

That's right :-) Friendship comes in many different forms and can evolve into something else altogether. Not all hope is lost.

There's something about her expression on pane 3. Determined resolution. But a sadness, like mourning the lost moments she believes she is throwing away. But I am sure that in her mind, it must be done. She thinks it is necessary. Tempest has learned to make judgement calls. The shame is: She never learned to make the right ones. Thistle's reaction in pane 6 is almost the same, in a sense. Acceptance (for the moment), but sadness. Composure, but... something more that I can't quite put my finger on. Ironic that the strongest panes of this page are panes 3 & 6, where we see only the expression. Sometimes the expression says more than the words.

Even if a relationship were still a valid destination, friends make better lovers than strangers. Getting to know someone a little more, without the pressure of a relationship, is never a bad idea. Good God, Tempest... Your mind says 'no,' but your body screams, 'Oh, yes! MOOORE!' You need to be more like men - think with your horn, instead of a brain! ... then again, I can see how that can be a problem here.

Well, I guess Fizzy is still hesitating whether she should be Thistle’s marefriend or just friend.
