Runaway In Stepford: Chapter 7 (The End?)

Honestly, as fun as I've had writing stories like Bad Beat or revisiting Mya with that Bet On Black interquel... This is the most fun I've had while writing a story in quite some time. At the time of me scheduling this, only the first two chapters have been posted, which is the farthest ahead my writing has been in quite some time. I was writing Runaway basically nonstop, at home and at work, and as soon as one chapter was finished I'd start on the next within 24 hours. It just came to me so eagerly, and flowed so effortlessly.
I want to thank Aubree and Jamie one more time for all their help. They beta read all seven chapters and provided a lot of feedback both with spelling and grammar, and with confirming when the emotional beats were hitting and when they weren't. They're great little helpers.
Molly has really come a long way, both in universe and out. I'm really happy with the role she occupies now, and the voice I've landed on for her. She's hit a good middle ground between the original Runaway story and how she appears in Happy Happy Happy, both of which I'm moving to the "not quite canon" pile. As for what's next for Molly, well...
This technically isn't the end of Runaway In Stepford. Rather, it's the end of the first story arc. I'm going to start working on other stories going forward, like a new Stepford Butterflies story and some other fun ideas. Towards the end of the year, I plan to start working on the second story arc for Runaway In Stepford, which if you've read the original, then you may know what it involves. People have asked me for a while if it was ever going to get a direct sequel, and in late 2025, it finally will~
