I have so much I could say about this, but I'll try not to go on too long. I'm really glad that I did decide to redo this story; Cassandra has come such a long way that the original version of this just didn't feel accurate in any way to who she became, and I find this version of events much more fitting. Just like with Runaway, I'm very pleased with how this remake turned out, and it's even set up a few characters we may seen again down the line. You never know when we'll run into Marion or Siobhan again, or even Brad or Roger.
Cassandra's evolution throughout this story is easily the part I'm proudest of. From her beginning as a rather toxic partner who is very jealous around her boyfriend all the way to a highly disturbed housewife who sees every woman as a threat or nuisance, and who worships her husband as absolute perfection. She's someone who is made worse by the re-education she undergoes, but that's rather entertaining, isn't it?
I also enjoyed getting to really show what the auction process is like from the other side of it. I've written about what it's like for the buyers in the past, but here we have Cassandra's perspective on it, and I had a lot of fun writing that section of the story.
As for where the girls wound up, well... Cassandra and Marion were both a bit of a given, considering the stories they've already appeared in. But Siobhan? I'll stay mum for now, so you can see for yourself, but I can confirm that I plan to show what life is like for her in the future. It's ground I haven't explored before, but I think it'll be interesting~
