Week of June 18th

(The Team Grows)

Howdy Patrons!

After a busy few weeks of reviewing editor applications, the team is about to grow by three. Onwards and upwards!

WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO:

With the success of Filip Zieba Pt. 2, I have been taking a bit of time to get all my ducks in a row. I was thrilled to see such an overwhelmingly positive response to the episode and am still riding the high of that launch. In the wake of that massive project's completion I have been working on the last stages of the hiring process for my new editors. As it stands now there will be three new editors on the team by the beginning of this coming week. This is all in an effort to relieve the current editing bottleneck that I have and add more structure to the team. 

WHAT I AM UP TO:

This week has been mostly filled with preparation for adding the new members to the team. I have been conducting one on one introduction interviews with all three of the new hires to get a better feel for who they are and what they are all about. As of me writing this two of the three interviews are complete and the last one will be in just under an hour. Along with that I have been working on a new video that I think is gonna be an absolute banger. I have expanded the scope of my Cave of Swimmers video to be a video about the Green Sahara as a whole. Its something that is covered a lot by people like Joe Rogan and his goons so I think having an actual archaeological discussion of it will be a great resource to have out on the internet. 

WHAT I WILL BE UP TO:

I anticipate kicking off this next week with our Monday morning team meeting with all the new members of the team in the first official meeting of the old and new. This will allow us to see how the newbies will fit in the ranks and start to give us an idea for what the new workflow will be like. I am also hoping to film the Green Sahara video this upcoming week which will allow for a first start to finish edit with the expanded team. I cannot understate how stoked I am to see this team grow and hopefully be able to get videos flowing even faster.
